Training of trainers in Finland
Between December 2023 and January 2024 all partner organizations organized Training of Trainers (ToT) events in their home country. The primary objective of these ToT events is to equip five youth workers from each participating country with the necessary skills and knowledge to spearhead the forthcoming pilot program slated for 2024. The recent ToT event held in Finland over the weekend showcased promising developments and laid a strong foundation for the program’s success.
The highly successful event in Finland witnessed intensive deliberations revolving around the instructional materials meticulously crafted over the preceding months. Participants engaged in a comprehensive review of the Instructions of Trainers documents, delving into the intricacies of the Module Book’s activities designed to enhance youth workers’ capacities.
The sessions were not confined to mere instructional delivery; rather, they fostered meaningful discussions on educational philosophy, incorporating the innovative bicycle model of training. Moreover, participants gained valuable insights into the evolving landscape of youth and employment in Finland, paving the way for informed strategies and interventions.
Central to the weekend’s proceedings was the invaluable contribution of the main trainer, who not only imparted essential knowledge but also sparked stimulating conversations on personal motivation and professional development. The blend of education, engagement, and enjoyment characterized the atmosphere, fostering a conducive learning environment for all participants.
ACR Finland is planning to organize 2 follow-up events in February and April to keep the youth workers engaged with the project and share all the latest advancements and overall preparation for the pilot program as a solid team.
As YOUnite progresses, stakeholders and supporters can anticipate further updates highlighting the strides made in empowering youth workers and fostering positive change within communities. With each successful event, the project edges closer to realizing its vision of equipping youth workers with the tools and resources needed to address the diverse challenges facing young people today.
The YOUnite initiative, conceived as a collaborative effort between multiple organizations, exemplifies the power of collective action in driving meaningful societal change. By harnessing the expertise and passion of youth workers worldwide, YOUnite seeks to create a more inclusive and empowered future for the next generation.
